Rob Pattinson Wants to Play James Bond?
Rob Pattinson has expressed interest in taking over the role of James Bond after Daniel Craig. Though this is not likely to happen soon since Daniel Craig is planning to star in the next movie, Pattinson admits that he’s a huge fan of the 007 franchise.
The popular star has earned fans for his role as Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies and recently appeared in the flick Remember Me.
Though he is British like Bond, I don’t really see a lot of similarities that would make him a good choice for the role. Pattinson has apparently admitted to Sky News that he’s “not good at running,” a qualification that would be very important for the super spy. It seems as though Pattinson would really have to work hard to shed his teen film image if he is really serious about a future as James Bond.
While he attempts to make these dreams of being Bond a reality, Pattinson’s next role will be Bel Ami, a story that takes place in Paris. He will also reprise his role of Edward Cullen in the upcoming Eclipse.
In other Bond news, the next film tentatively titled Bond 23, is still in development with Daniel Craig set to star. Sam Mendes will possibly direct, and there are speculations that Freida Pinto could be the next Bond girl.
