Robert Pattinson Hit by Car, But Escapes Unharmed
Maybe he really does have super-human strength and speed after all. "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson, who plays the vampire Edward Cullen in the popular movie, remains uninjured after being struck by a taxi cab in New York on Thursday. The accident occurred while Pattison was attempting to escape what reports have described as a "mob of frenzied fans."
It didn't take long for crazed Pattinson fans to discover that he would be in Manhattan Thursday on the set of his upcoming film "Remember Me." According to Mercury News, Pattinson was fleeing across the street from a mob of his admirers when he was clipped by a cab. The taxi driver reportedly spotted him in enough time to slam on the brakes and eliminate impact.
As the report indicates, the set of "Remember Me" has been constantly surrounded (and at times harassed) by crowds of fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the object of their affection. "It's been nonstop busy all day with people trying to get a glimpse of him, and the crowd goes nuts when they do see him" a source told People magazine.
Infatuated Edward Cullen fanatics everywhere can breathe a sigh of relief to know that the heartthrob reportedly walked away from the incident unharmed and did not require medical attention. In other words, don't worryhe's still perfect.
