Twilight star Robert Pattinson is not content with just being a heartthrob to fans of his films. He is now ready to take the leap into the music world.
Two sources told Us Magazine that the actor is working on an album that pays homage to the indie-music he loves. "The album Rob will make will be guitar-based and drums, very organic-sounding, nothing pop...Like stripped-down Ray LaMontagne meets Van Morrison," one of the sources said.
The other source said that Pattinson, who is a guitarist, has been trying to record his original songs, but his acting career has never allowed the time. Now that the Twilight series is wrapping up, Pattinson finally has the chance.
According to Rolling Stone, this would not be his first foray into the music world, though. He already had two of his songs, “Let Me Sign” and “Never Think,” appear on Twilight soundtracks. Both were written with friend Sam Bradley.
Right now, there is no scheduled release for the album, and it has not been announced what label would pick him up.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 will be released Nov. 18.
