Robin Williams Talks About Role in "World's Greatest Dad"
Rob Williams talks about his role as a parent in real life and the one he plays as Lance in the film "World's Greatest Dad", which is directed by friend and fellow comedian Bobcat Goldthwait.
Lance is a poetry teacher whose teenage son, Kyle goes to the school where he works. Kyle is a bit of a social outcast and when he suddenly dies of auto-erotic asphyxiation, Lance takes to writing a journal for his son. Through the journal, Kyle is seen in a new light. William, 58, told ABC News "And am I the 'world's greatest dad?' Not at all, I'm a work-in-progress, but I love them," as he talks about the trial and error that comes with raising children.
Williams has three adult children Zachary 26, Zelda 20, and Cody 18. Although Williams hasn't popped up in more Oscar-winning films, he seems quite content with doing stand up comedy and independent films. According to the San Francisco Chronicle Williams said "It takes the pressure off. You are really under the radar. The idea is to find and work with people you enjoy and because it's fun and let go of the outcome."
