Robin Wright Penn and Sean Penn Are Splitting Again

According to Access Hollywood, Robin Wright Penn has filed for divorce from husband Sean Penn for the third time.

Most recently, Wright Penn filed for divorce on August 12 in Marin County in Northern California.

Penn previously filed for legal separation from his wife on April 24 citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the separation. He withdrew the legal filing weeks later, calling it "an arrogant mistake."

In December 2007, the couple also filed for separation but reconciled in April 2008.

According to People magazine, the papers filed Wednesday report that the couple plans to share custody of their son, Hopper Jack, 16, and that they have already decided on how to divide their property. According to the papers, Wright Penn is not asking for spousal support.

Penn, 49, and Wright Penn, 43, have been married since 1996. They have two children together, Hopper Jack and a daughter, Dylan, who is 18.
