Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival

Revolver magazine recently announced its participation in this year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival tour, along with what bands will be featured on the tour this year. In 2008, the tour featured the likes of both Slipknot and Disturbed, along with a slew of somewhat less renowned hard rock bands who were featured on several different stages. Marilyn Manson and Slayer, along with Bullet for my Valentine, are said to be the headlining performers at this year's festival, making it an ideal hard rock show for most any heavy metal fan.

Taste of Chaos and, more notably, Vanes Warped tour masterminds Kevin Lyman and John Reese are the people responsible for putting together the tour. In the wake of Ozzfest dwindling down to a one stop festival last summer, Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival seems poised to take the crown as the new premier summer heavy metal festival.

The tour has announced a slew of dates along with coheadlining bands that will be featured on both the Hot Topic stage and Jägermeister stage, including heavy metal juggernauts Trivium, God Forbid, All That Remains, and Cannibal Corpse. The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival tour promises to quench the need for chaos and debauchery that any fan might seek in a summer tour scene that could be potentially aching for a touch of the heavy.
