Rod Blagojevich Joins 'The Celebrity Apprentice'
Disgraced Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich Hill vie for a spot in Donald Trump's boardroom on The Celebrity Apprentice.
Blagojevich was forced from office after corruption charges surfaced in the wake of Barack Obama's election as president. Obama resigned his seat as U.S. Senator from Illinois for his new office, and the governor was caught allegedly trying to sell the seat to the highest bidder.
Blagojevich maintained a public campaign against the charges with appearances on talk shows, including The View.
The former governor was going to appear on NBC's I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! but was forbidden from leaving the country. His wife, Patti, did participate on the show.
For his latest romp into reality television, Blagojevich will join Sharon Osbourne, Cyndi Lauper, Holly Robinson Peete, Selita Ebanks, Maria Kanellis, Carol Leifer, Summer Sanders, Darryl Strawberry, Bret Michaels, Goldberg, Michael Johnson, Sinbad and Curtis Stone.
The Celebrity Apprentice debuts on March 14 on NBC.
