Rod Blagojevich Pushing New Reality Show
According to People, former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is promoting the upcoming season of the NBC reality show, I'm a Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here."
Blagojevich said, "I'm looking forward to having an opportunity through the court system to prove my innocence, but at the same time I'm interested in trying to pursue a way to earn a living."
The show, set in a jungle in Costa Rica, will test the outdoor capabilities of celebrities such as Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag, Sanjaya Malakar and Janice Dickinson. The eventual winner of the show will be able to donate prize money to a charity of their choice.
However, Blagojevich won't be eating bugs, rappelling down a building, or facing other intense situations because a court has prohibited him from leaving the country, labeling him as a flight risk. He will not be a contestant on the show, but is lending his name to raise the profile of the previously assembled cast.
Blagojevich said, "[This] is a chance to do something that's really fun and entertaining compared to some of the other things that I got to deal with that frankly suck, period, at this point I'm looking for a new line of work."
