A-Rod, an egomaniac? Come On!
After Alex Rodriguez, current third baseman of the Yankees was seen this past summer in Details magazine in a pictorial that showed him kissing himself in a mirror, people weren't sure what to think.
Pretty simple, he is way too into himself! Though the spread and interview was suppose to spark excitement and fuel the speculation of his supposed steroid use, the point came out differently, that he was, how do I put this... a little bit of a diva.
With that said, you cannot deny that A-Rod is an amazing athlete but do we really care what he does or says outside of the stadium? Of course we do, our culture is so fixated on what the "famous" do in their private lives that the word private no longer exists, rather public is the norm. Is this a rant?
Maybe but isn't most tabloid news a rant about nothing but what "they" are wearing, eating, doing, sleeping with, and well enhancing or crushing their image with? A-Rod is no different from the rest of the public
he just gets a ridiculous paycheck and has quite the chip on his shoulder.
It is reported by an ex lover of Rodriguez, that he is so vain. The ex lover states that he is "such an egomaniac that he placed paintings of himself depicted as a centaur -- a mythical creature who is half-man, half-horse -- over his bed. And he has not one but two painted portraits of himself as a centaur" according to NYPost.com.
