Roethlisberger Accused of Sexual Assault
Pittsburh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of sexual assault by two different women.
A woman was allegedly assaulted Friday morning at Capital City - a club in Milledgeville, Georgia. The woman told police the sexual assault took place in the women's restroom of the nightclub. According to law enforcement sources the woman was treated at a local hospital and released.
In addition to the Milledgeville Police Department, the Georgia Bureau of Investigations is also investigating the matter. Roethlisberger has not been charged with a crime.
According to a report from ProFootballTalk.com, Roethlisberger's reps, "wouldn't comment as to whether Roethlisberger was in fact accused of sexual assault, just that the allegations were untrue and the events in question did not happen."
The other woman claiming to be sexually assaulted by the QB is Andrea McNulty. She claims Roethlisberger raped her in a Lake Tahoe hotel room back in 2008. The case has been temporarily put on ice while the Nevada Supreme Court decides where the case should be tried.
McNulty's lawyer, Cal Dunlap, said they will be "aggressively looking into this new case," referring to the incident in Georgia.
Roethlisberger's reps are denying any wrong doing.
