Rowe to Be at Custody Hearing
Debbie Rowe, the late Michael Jackson's ex-wife and the biological mother of his two oldest children, plans to be at the hearing for temporary custody of Jackson's children, according to People.com.
The hearing for temporary guardianship has been rescheduled for July 20.
Prince Michael I, 12, and Paris, 11, along with their younger brother, Prince Michael II, 7, also known as Blanket, who was born from an unknown surrogate, have been living with their grandmother, Katherine Jackson, in Encino, Calif., since their father's death. In his will, the "King of Pop" wanted her to have custody of the three.
According to the New York Daily News, Jackson's father, Joe, with whom he had a rocky relationship, said in an interview with "Good Morning America" that he sees entertainment potential in Paris and Blanket.
Jackson wanted to shelter his children from his father, who put a lot of pressure on him early in the pop icon's career.
Speaking of his early career, Jackson's hometown of Gary, Ind., where he got his start, recently honored Jackson, complete with mimicking of his famous dance moves, crowds and sing-a-longs.
