Rowe Not Yet Reaching Final Decision of Custody Battle
Debbie Rowe, the legal mother of two of Michael Jackson's children, is still deciding whether to fight for custody over them, Associated Press reports.
According to Boston Herald, Jackson's ex-wife won a court delay last week that will give her some time to make her decision. Her children, Prince Michael, Jr., 12, and Paris, 11, are currently under the care of Jackson's mother, Katherine. Jackson stated in his will that upon his death, the kids would go to Katherine.
Rowe requested a delay last week, which was granted until July 13, Boston Herald said. A legal expert believed she would have the upper hand over Katherine for several reasons, including that Rowe is the other legal parent of the children and is younger than Katherine, who is 79 years old.
People reports that Jackson had also given all of his assets to Katherine and the children in his will. Whether the children will inherit a fortune or a pile of unpaid bills is yet to be determined.
