Rowling Writes Her Next Book
So, how do you go about following up "Harry Potter?" Well, J.K. Rowling wrote "The Tales of Beedle the Bard." For those of you diehard Potter-heads you may recognize this title as the book that Dumbledore left to Hermione after his death. Don't get too excited though this book of magical stories is not going to be ordered by the truckload to your nearest bookstore, only 7 were made. "Six of these books have been given to those most closely connected to the 'Harry Potter' books during the past 17 years. This seventh book will be auctioned," Rowling explained in a recent BBC interview. She hand wrote the book and illustrated it herself to make it extra special. "I've been writing about the world, about Harry, Ron and Hermione, but it comes from that world. It's been partly, I didn't expect it to be, but it's been therapeutic in a way -- a nice way to say goodbye," she said. The book is expected to bring in more than $100,000 at the auction, according to USA Today.
