Ruben Studdard Gets Married
The Velvet Teddy Bear gits hitched in sweet home Alabama.
American Idol's season 2 winner, Ruben Studdard, married Surata Zuri McCants at Canterbury United Methodist Church in his hometown of Birmingham, Ala., Saturday, People reports.
The Idol had 20 groomsmen at his side, but there have been no reports of any Idol alumni in attendance, not even soon-to-be father and season 2 runner-up Clay Aiken.
For the ceremony, the singer and his groomsmen wore black Joseph Abboud tuxedos from local outfitter Mr. Burch Formal Wear, while Studdard had a white vest and a white bow tie.
Studdard, 29, met McCants, 30, in October 2006, when he was signing CDs at a Wal-Mart in Atlanta.
