Vogue model Ruslana Korshunova died at the age of 20 apparently falling to death from her Manhattan apartment building.

Vogue cover model Ruslana Korshunova, 20, died from a fall from her Manhattan apartment building Saturday in an apparent suicide, reported the Associated Press. At around 2:30 P.M. this afternoon she fell from her building on Water Street in the financial district, according to the New York Post, the Daily News and Newsday. All of the papers cited unnamed officials and police.

The fall is under investigation by police. Korshunova's New York agency and a spokeswoman for medical examiners were unable to be reached by the Associated Press.

The model from Kazakhstan with the almond eyes and flowing hair appeared in advertisements and on runways for designers like Marc Jacobs, Nina Ricci, as well as DKNY. British Vogue saw her as "a face to be excited about," reported AP.

She came into modeling when booker Debbie Jones saw her while perusing an in-flight magazine article about the model's hometown of Almaty, according to the Vogue report. "She looked like something out of a fairytale!" Jones said, according to AP. "We had to find her and we searched high and low until we did!"
