Russell Brand made an appearance in Pasadena, California to promote his new FX series, Strangely Uplifting. Both fans and the media are curious when the British-born funny man will address his recent split with soon-to-be ex-wife, Katy Perry.

According to MSN Today, Brand was asked vaguely by a reporter on how he was doing. Brand responded, “I'm quite well, thank you. Are you asking because of recent events?" he said with a laugh. He adds, "Well, I suppose what you're doing is you're making the mistake as seeing time as linear."

Brand made sure that the press saw that he was there for business, and to not shed an emotional light on his personal life. He discusses his newest project stating, “All I want is for people to feel better than they do now. That's all I want…All I want is to make people laugh and to make people happy. And as long as I stay in alignment with that, then I'm served by great forces."

Will Strangely Uplifting parallel his personal life? Brand notes, according to US Magazine, “I think there will be inevitable biographical elements because you can't speak from anyone's perspective but your own. Unless I was to bizarrely adapt some sort of avatar."

Strangely Uplifting is still in the beginning stages of production, no word when the first episode will air.
