Russell Brand may be recovering from his divorce to pop singer Katy Perry, but he’s ready to move on. What better way to do that than with work.
UK’s Mirror reported the 36-year-old was at a Television Critics Association panel to promote his upcoming FX series, Strangely Uplifting.
Of course, there were questions about his split with the “Teenage Dream” singer, and one reporter tried to be very stealth about it, asking Brand how he was doing.
"I'm quite well, thank you. Are you asking because of recent events?" the comedian said. "Well, I suppose what you're doing is you're making the mistake as seeing time as linear."
Linear?
According to Us Weekly, Brand went on to explain that he sees time as circular, and that the same events just happen again and again.
As for his new show, he said that his goal is simply “for people to feel better than they do now.”
"All I want is to make people laugh and to make people happy. And as long as I stay in alignment with that, then I'm served by great forces,” he said.
FX has previously described the show as Brand’s take on the day’s headlines, with a funny spin of course.
And what has Perry been up to? A source told the magazine that she has been “very low key,” watching the Golden Globes from her hotel room and ordering room service and takeout with friends.
