Russell Brand was back to business on Sunday, where he was back stateside promoting his new FX series Strangely Uplifting.
He was, of course, asked during the Q&A session how he was doing following filing from divorce from wife Katy Perry less than a month ago.
"I'm quite well, thank you. Are you asking because of recent events?" he asked, Us Weekly reports. "Well, I suppose what you're doing is you're making the mistake as seeing time as linear."
Also while at the TCA panel in Pasadena, California, Brand discussed his new series in which he said "All I want is for people to feel better than they do now. That's all I want.” He added, "All I want is to make people laugh and to make people happy. And as long as I stay in alignment with that, then I'm served by great forces."
The show will also feature elements of his personal life, as he said “there will be inevitable biographical elements because you can't speak from anyone's perspective but your own.”
Brand then tried to amend an image he has in the media, as he admits to his shortcomings and tries to correct them. "I listen to others. I accept that you must be humble. It's very important to have humility.... I have a tendency to fly off. I'm tangential and also I'm narcissistic. I have to be very careful,” he said.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Strangely Uplifting will feature Brand interacting heavily with the studio audience, commenting on the most recent news stories of the moment.
