O'Neal says ‘I hear her voice.’

According to MSNBC, Ryan O’Neal, the late Farrah Fawcett’s lover, still feels her presence one year since her death.

O’Neal told Today’s Meredith Vieira, “I hear her voice, I see her silhouette...I miss her cooking.”

In his interview, O’Neal also told Vieira that Fawcett would be proud of her son, Redmond, for turning his life around from his drug habits.

He said, “I’m greatly relieved and gratified by his progress in the last year. We see him all the time, and he’s beautiful. His mother would be very proud of him.”

O’Neal admitted that he and Redmond have yet to grieve together in person, but he anticipates the day. He discussed the difficulty of grieving on his own.

In an interview with Today last year, O’Neal stated, “I’m the new rock. I’m using what [Farrah] taught me to survive and go on.” However, one year later, O’Neal said, “It’s harder than I thought. I miss her. We all miss her.”

Fawcett died June 25, 2009 due to her battle with anal cancer.
