Sacha Baron Cohen Crashes L.A. Rally
Dressed in his "Bruno" alter ego for an upcoming movie, actor Sacha Baron Cohen crashed a Los Angeles-area rally Sunday that supported a ban on gay marriage in California, according to the Associated Press.
"Bruno" is a character from Cohen's Da Ali G Show, which aired on HBO. "Bruno" is a gay Australian fashion reporter. The new film is entitled, Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Male, and follows the comedic documentary style of film that Cohen used for his 2006 film, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
Dressed with a preppy outfit and a blonde wig, Cohen continued his antic while marching in support of the gay marriage ban while his cameras filmed him.
Photographers and reporters covering the rally eventually recognized Cohen, who was then shielded by his crew and whisked away in a van.
Cohen was caught crashing several fashion shows in New York earlier this year. A release date has yet to be announced for the film.
