SAG Awards So Far...

Last Sunday, The Golden Globe awards kicked off the awards season honoring excellence in both television and film. Tonight, the Screen Actors Guild awards do the same as both shows lead up to the Oscars, Hollywood’s own super bowl.

As the ceremony unfolds, it is easy to recognize the patterns that exist between both award shows. Halfway through the telecast, it is not hard to recognize the patterns in the television portion of the awards. Both the ensembles of Mad Men and Glee were honored tonight just a single week after their respective wins at the Globes. Also, Michael C. Hall for Dexter and Julianna Margulies of The Good Wife received awards these past two weeks for their respective categories. While Alec Baldwin of 30 Rock won tonight as well as last week, his co-star Tina Fey, however, took home a statuette tonight without being honored at the Globes.
