Salma Hayek Not Bummed About Breakup

According to friends, actress Salma Hayek is not all that devastated about her recent break up from fiance Francois-Henri Pinault, WENN reports.

The news of the split was announced last week. While emotions are certainly running high - Pinault and Hayek do have a child together - close friend Felipe Fernandez Del Paso insists that the calling off of their engagement was not nearly as sudden as the media portrayed it.

"It came as a shock to you, but not to those who know her," he explains.

Del Paso also debunks notions that the star is very depressed over the breakup. "My friend is not depressed. . . . They're (Hayek and Pinault) both very intelligent; they have a daughter together and they'll be able to work it out," he maintains.

Her daughter, Valentina, was born in September of 2007.
