Salma Hayek Not Planning Big Wedding
The actress denied she is planning a lavish wedding ceremony.
According to People, actress Salma Hayek, 42, refuted claims that she was planning a $2 million wedding ceremony.
Hayek said, "I think a wedding is about love, friends, family and fun. I think spending millions of dollars on a wedding is ridiculous and it has never been my dream. I would never do that."
Hayek married Francois-Henri Pinault in a quiet Valentine's Day ceremony at City Hall in Paris. There were reports circulating that Hayek was scheduling a follow-up ceremony and reception for the end of April.
Pinault is the CEO of luxury goods company PPR. Hayek gave birth to the pair's first child, a daughter, Valentina Paloma, in Sept. 2007.
