Samuel L. Spoofs Penguins
Samuel L. Jackson has signed on to narrate a sequel of sorts to the sleeper documentary hit March of the Penguins.
The project, titled Farce of the Penguins, will be a mockumentary splicing real life wildlife footage with a raunchy script from comedian Bob Saget. Each penguin will have dialogue voiced by various famous comedians including Tracy Morgan, Lewis Black, Jason Alexander, James Belushi, Norm Crosby, Whoopi Goldberg, Gilbert Gottfried, Jon Lovitz, Norm Macdonald, and others.
Saget is known for his tame roles in shows such as America's Funniest Home Videos and Full House, but has a reputation for being outrageously bawdy in his standup comedy. This was illustrated by his gross out account of the "world's worst joke" in the 2004 documentary The Aristocrats.
Independent studio ThinkFilm, who will be releasing the penguin spoof, described it as "the story of one penguin's search for love while on a 70-mile (112-km) trek with his libidinous buddies on their way to a hedonistic mating ritual."
