Sandra Bullock: ‘I'm So Not Winning an Oscar’

By her own account, Bullock has no chance of taking home the gold.

Maybe it's the gigantic cinematic competition this year, maybe it's a touch of endearing humility. Either way, Sandra Bullock assures the world that she doesn't stand a chance of taking home an Oscar this year.

"I'm so not winning an Oscar," Bullock said at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival after receiving the American Riviera Award for her influence on film. The prediction was made in the wake of her receiving her very first nomination for best actress for The Blind Side.

What's more, the actress, 45, fashions herself quite the clairvoyant when it comes to the Academy Awards. "Nine times out of ten I always pick who's going to win," Bullock said. "And I already know who's going to win. I'm not going to say, but nine times out of ten, I'm right."

Bullock could certainly stand to flaunt herself a little more than this. From just this year, she has a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award on her shelf at home. Maybe in a film year that's synonymous with Quentin Tarantino, The Hurt Locker, and 10 foot-tall blue aliens, Bullock is simply not getting her expectations too high.
