Sandra Bullock Donates $1 Million to Haiti Relief

Sandra Bullock joins the many other stars as they donate money to Haiti.

Golden Globe winner Sandra Bullock recently donated $1 million to relief funds for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Her donation matches the amounts given by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, as well as the amount donated by George Clooney.

Other celebrities that have made charitable donations to relief funds have been Gisele Bundchen, who donated $1.5 million, and Madonna who donated $250,000.

George Clooney has been working hard over the past week to put together MTV’s “Hope For Haiti” telethon, which he will host. Many other stars are set to appear on the telethon, and there will be performances by many famous musicians as well.

Clooney told the MTV News, “Get involved, whatever you do. This is about compassion. There are times in our lives when people are really without help and in real danger, and this is one of those times.”

“Hope For Haiti” will air commercial-free at 8pm on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, MTV, VH1, and CMT.
