Sandra Bullock to Star in Sports Dramedy

Sandra Bullock will next be gracing the silver screen in "Blindside," where she plays a well-off matriarch whose family takes in a boy who is projected to be one of the first players selected in this year's NFL draft.

Sandra Bullock is set to star in The Blindside, which will be based on the novel by Michael Lewis, The Blind Side: Evolution of the Game.

According to HollywoodReporter.com, "Blindside tells the true story of football player Michael Oher, who is projected to be one of the first players selected in this year's NFL draft. Oher was a homeless black teen from a broken home who was taken in by a well-to-do white family that saw extraordinary promise in him. Oher, however, faced a new set of obstacles once in his new environment."

Bullock's role in the film will be that of Leigh Anne Touhy, the wealthy matriarch of the traditional suburban household that takes in Oher.

According to an article on Variety.com, "Gil Netter, the producer of the 2008 Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson hit, Marley and Me, will again produce along with Alcon co-toppers Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove. Molly Smith, Erwin Stoff and Tim Bourne will exec produce."
