Sara Gilbert confirms her new relationship with Linda Perry on 'The Talk'

Sara Gilbert launched a media frenzy when pictures surfaced of she and Linda Perry holding hands while out shopping.

The Talk co-host has confirmed that she is, indeed, in a new relationship but joked she wanted to make sure the announcement was “on my terms, in full hair and makeup.”

People reports that on Wednesday’s episode of the show, Gilbert addressed the audience with the rumors head on when The Talk panel were talking about celebrities and privacy, admitting she has “struggled” with people knowing about her personal life.

“The other day I was just out, and the paparazzi were there," she said. "All these articles are out that I'm in a new relationship,” she continued to applaud from the audience. “I go online, and it's on CNN ... it's weird."

The new relationship marks a big step in Gilbert’s life, as she ended a 10-year relationship with Allison Adler in August, according to The Daily Mail.

Perry is a musician and songwriter who is the former lead singer of 4 Non Blondes and wrote and produced such hits as “Get the Party Started” by Pink and Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful” and Gilbert starred in the sitcom Roseanne as tomboy Darlene Conner.
