Sarah Jessica Parker to replace Demi Moore in 'Lovelace'

Due to Demi Moore’s recent hospital visit this week, she had to give up her role in Lovelace. Actress Sarah Jessica Parker will now be taking Demi’s place as feminist leader Gloria Steinem.

Filmmakers Rob Epstein and Jeffery Friedman announced that Moore was working on their project on Jan. 2.

According to USA Today, Moore dropped out of her role in the film the day after being rushed to the hospital for what she said was exhaustion. Her 911 tape reveals that Moore was smoking something that made her ill.

Moore had not yet filmed any scenes for the movie. Immediately after Moore’s resignation from the film, Parker was ready to fill the spot.

Lovelace has just begun production and USA Today reports that the Sex and the City star will be in the film.

Lovelace is about porn icon Linda Lovelace’s life. Lovelace was the star of the successful 1972 film, Deep Throat. Actress Amanda Seyfried will star as Linda Lovelace in the film and a younger Hugh Hefner will be played by James Franco.

E! Online reports that Wes Bentley, Chloe Sevigny, Chris North, and Peter Sarsgaard will also star in the film.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Parker will begin filming for the movie on Monday.
