Sarah Michelle Gellar says she's 'jealous' of stay-at- home husband

When it comes to raising their daughter, Charlotte, 2, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze, Jr. are hands-on parents. Sarah Michelle Gellar recently made her long-awaited return to TV in CW’s hit Ringer, and although she enjoys being back on television, it’s hard to be away from her daughter.

"It's hard to see Charlotte's little face when you say you have to go to work. It's sad!" Gellar said, according to US Weekly "But you make time for everything. You work it out."

Gellar says her husband is a stay-at-home dad when she’s at work, and he doesn’t mind.

"He loves it. We fight over who gets to stay home," Gellar told Us Weekly at the Operation Shower fundraiser for expectant military moms. "You'd think it would be the opposite, that the parents would be like, 'No, I'll go to work!' but he's like, 'You stayed home for two years! It's my turn!'"

"When Charlotte was born, Freddie was on '24' and I didn't work for two years.” She had explained. "I had asked him, 'When I'm ready to go back to work, will you stay home with her then?' He was like, 'Fine!' He loves it. I think I've created a monster!"

The 34-year-old actress says she often gets “jealous” that she can’t stay home with them since “he and Charlotte have too much fun" together when she is away.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. have been together for 12 years, and welcomed Charlotte Grace in Sept of 2009. Gellar didn’t say whether she plans on further expanding her family with Freddie, but says her daughter hasn’t been asking for a new sibling, but a “kitty cat.” Gellar told PopSugar she’s allergic to cats, but she’s considering bringing a pet into the family.
