Scarlett Johansson, Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman honored in Germany

Scarlett Johansson, Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman were honored in Germany Saturday, February 4 at the 47th Golden Camera Awards.

Johansson, who recently stared in We Bought a Zoo, picked up the award for “Best International Actress.” Johansson was reportedly “grateful that her work was appreciated abroad.” ScarJo is rumored to be taking back on the role as Natasha Rushman in Iron Man 3.

Freeman was recently honored at the Golden Globes where he received the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Award. He is one of America’s notoriously known actors for not only his acting abilities, but his distinctive voice as well. Freeman was honored once again for his “lifetime achievement,” this time in Germany where he received a trophy in recognition for his achievement to which the actor called “a great honor.”

Washington was also recognized for his work in film while in Germany. He was given the award for “Best International Actor.” His newest film, Safe House, co-stars alongside Johansson’s ex-husband Ryan Reynolds. The film is set to release on February 10.

A separate music category also honored R&B legend Dionne Warwick with a Lifetime achievement award.

The Golden Camera award is noted as one of Germany's most prestigious film awards. The awards took place in German Publishing house Axel Springer’s Berlin headquarters.
