Scarlett Johansson Does Great on Broadway

Scarlett Johansson gets rave reviews for her role in “A View From The Bridge”.

Scarlett Johansson, a major film star, debuted on Broadway in Arthur Miller’s “A View From The Bridge,” and received many great reviews for her stage performance.

Johansson used a thick Brooklyn accent to portray the character of Catherine, a 17-year-old Italian-American. The show opened on Sunday night, and the reviews have said, “Johansson’s performance is a revelation.”

Johansson was compared to many other major film stars that have made their debuts in Broadway plays, such as Julia Roberts and Katie Holmes, who both appeared in “All My Sons,” another play by Arthur Miller.

The New York Post mentioned that this role was a good choice for Johansson’s stage debut, and said that it was “just wonderful to watch Johansson challenge both herself and our expectations of her.”

The only critique of Johansson’s performance was that she could do more voice projection, which is a common issue film stars encounter when they cross over to being on stage.
