Schwarzenegger Names His Nanny to California Board

She will work part-time.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced Thursday that he has named his own children's nanny to the state board where she will work as a part-time state regulator on the Board of Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Lindsay Ann Schnaidt, 32, is a Democrat from Hermosa Beach. She has worked for the first family of California for seven years and will be paid $100 per day when the state board meets throughout the year.

"She expressed an interest in serving the people of California like many other Californians do," said Schwarzenegger's spokesman, Aaron McLear. "The governor wants those interested in serving to have that opportunity."

The guide-dog board was one of the boards that Schwarzenegger wanted to get rid of when he ran for office in 2004.
