Scorsese And DiCaprio Will Do It Again
Award-winning director Martin Scorsese and movie superstar Leonardo DiCaprio are reportedly going to team up again on Jordan Belfort's awaiting autobiography, The Wolf of Wall Street.
DiCaprio would play the part of Belfort, a Long Island stockbroker who was convicted and served 20 months in prison for not cooperating in a securities fraud case linking corruption on Wall Street, corporate banking, as well as mob involvement. A good portion of the film will most likely revolve around his relationship with the FBI agent who tried to turn him into an informer.
Scorsese and DiCaprio will also join forces later this year, when they work on the film The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt. It's certainly noticeable that when the two work with each other, their movies turn into instant classics with films such as Gangs of New York (2002), The Aviator (2004) and, of course, The Departed (2006).
Scorsese is commonly considered to be one of the most noteworthy and leading American filmmakers of his time. And after five failed attempts, he also finally won Best Director for his film, The Departed, which also had the honor of taking home the Academy Award for Best Picture at the 79th Annual Academy Awards earlier this year.
