Personal issues have broken up the rock and roll supergroup.
Sam Belkin
Scott Weiland is the former singer of the great '90s rock group Stone Temple Pilots, aka STP. His drug abuse and erratic behavior caused turmoil in the band, and they soon parted ways. Weiland then went on to play in the rock supergroup Velvet Revolver with former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash.
Now he is no longer with Velvet Revolver, for the same reasons. Tensions between Weiland and the other members of the group took a turn for the worse, and at a show on March 20 the band announced that their current tour would be their last.
According to MTV.com, STP is planning a summer reunion tour with Weiland, set to kick off in Columbus, Ohio, at the Rock on the Range festival in May.
