Seacrest Getting More Attention Than He Can Handle
Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr. may not be Ryan Seacrest's biggest fan, but he's surely in the running for the craziest. Allegedly stalking the long-time American Idol host, he was arrested on Friday inside the E! building, TMZ reported. Don't be fooled, this was no hot-bodied teen or persistent groupie: Uzomah was armed and dangerous, fully equipped with knife when taken into custody.
And this wasn't his first run-in with Seacrest. Uzomah recently pleaded guilty to three misdemeanors, including an attempt to enter the star's car as Seacrest was leaving a charity appearance at Children's Hospital in September. After pleading guilty to the three counts then he was sentenced to 15 days in prison and ordered to stay away from Seacrest.
But Uzomah is apparently either very persistent or has an enormous difficulty with rejection. Recent reports say that he has been looking for Seacrest all month, showing up at his radio station, KIIS FM in Burbank, CA, a few weeks ago. Police were called but no direct action was taken since Uzomah, unknowing that his stalkee recorded his show from the E! office, didn't actually come within close proximity to Seacrest during that incident.
Today, however, is a completely different ball game and bets are that Uzomah will be looking at more than a mere slap on the wrist.
