Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, the lead actors in the much-anticipated superhero film Green Lantern, will serve as presenters at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.
Reynolds and Lively will be joined by several other stars who were announced as presenters on Monday, including former The Office star Steve Carell, Oscar nominee Jesse Eisenberg, How I Met Your Mother’s Jason Segel, Eastbound & Down’s Danny McBride, and 2010 MTV Movie Awards host Aziz Ansari, according to MTV.com.
The first batch of presenters who will hand out Golden Popcorn trophies at this year’s ceremony consisted of actress-singer Selena Gomez, Transformers: Dark of the Moon star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, “Your Love” rapper Nicki Minaj, Bad Teacher’s Cameron Diaz, and Easy A’s Emma Stone.
Country Strong’s Leighton Meester, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ Shia LaBeouf, Grey’s Anatomy’s Patrick Dempsey, Life as We Know It’s Josh Duhamel, and Taken’s Katie Cassidy have also been confirmed as presenters.
Saturday Night Live cast member Jason Sudeikis, who is hosting this year’s ceremony, recently said of his upcoming gig, “I look forward to keeping the streak of flawless and critically lauded movie awards show hosting in 2011 alive.”
The 20th Annual MTV Movie Awards will take place on Sunday, June 5 at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. The awards show is scheduled to air live at 9:00 p.m. ET.
