Selena Gomez is letting her fans help her create her new fragrance

Selena Gomez, like many other young starlets, is expanding her brand into perfume. The 19-year-old actress will release her self-titled fragrance next year, and to ensure it’s a scent that her fans will love, she’s letting them help her create it.

“I’m creating the base of the scent and what I’m doing is, I’m inviting my fans to help me create the top notes and things that kind of go into it,” she told Access Hollywood. “Then we’re going to pick the top ten fans and they’re going to actually come into the lab with me and pick and the final scent.”

Selena is letting fans vote on their favorite scents at her Selena Gomez Perfumes website. In addition to the 10 lucky fans that will help the “Who Says” singer pick the final scent in New York, she’ll also be giving the first 100,000 participants a free sample of the fragrance before it is released to the public.

Although she’ll be getting fan input, she already has an idea of what she wants her fragrance to smell like.

“My perfume, right now, I want it to be really romantic,” she said. “I want it to be sweet and sophisticated.”

Gomez recently posed in a shoot for her new fragrance. She wore a gown while posing in colorful water tank.
