Sequel to "Fahrenheit 9/11" Expected for Release in 2009

Michael Moore is currently underway with a "Fahrenheit 9/11" sequel.

A sequel to Michael Moore's documentary, Fahrenheit 9/11, is expected for release in 2009.

Variety.com reports that Moore will be teaming up with Overture Films and Paramount Vantage to create the sequel to his 2004 anti-Bush documentary on the war against terrorism, Fahrenheit 9/11.

The new documentary will pick up where the prequel left off. The film will again shine negative light on George Bush and his service to our country during a current time of his declining popularity and America's economic struggle. The documentary is scheduled for release after Bush's presidency is up.

In addition to Fahrenheit 9/11, Moore has also produced Bowling for Columbine and Sicko.

Moore has opted to not partner with the Weinstein Company to make this film after his most recent documentary, Sicko, which he made with the Weinstein Co., failed at the box office, as reported by Variety.com.

Work on the sequel is currently underway.
