Serve Minors, Get Shut Down (Just Ask Pete Wentz)

Angels and Kings Manhattan location shut down for selling to underage kids.

Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz is experiencing some legal troubles associated with his popular Manhattan bar, Angles and Kings. The punky bar has been closed due to multiple violations of serving alcohol to minors, reports Gawker.com.

Wentz co-owns the bar with members from Gym Class Heroes and Cobra Starship. The dicey spot has been cited twice by the NYPD for serving alcohol to minors, but both previous charges were thrown out of court.

As a result of the charges, Angels and Kings will be closed for three days, according to Gawker.com. The door of the East Village bar is fashionably decorated with a notice by the courts exclaiming, "CLOSED" and "RESTRAINING ORDER."

William Crowley, spokesman for the New York Liquor Authority, explained to People that the previous infractions could add to the penalties of the violation. "If the problem consistently happens, there is a chance of permanent shutdown of the bar," an NYPD officer told the publication.

The New York location has been open for two years. There is also a second location in Chicago.
