Seth Rogen to Co-Write and Star in "The Green Hornet"
Seth Rogen, who was most recently seen as the protagonist of the popular "Knocked Up," is venturing into somewhat different territory for one of his future roles. He has moved from stoner to super-hero. He is set to co-write and co-executive produce (with Evan Goldberg) Columbia Pictures' "The Green Hornet," in which he will also play the title role. By day, the Green Hornet is a playboy who has inherited a newspaper from his wealthy father; by night, he fights crime with the aid of his martial-arts expert sidekick Kato. This character has been around on the radio, on television, and in comic books since 1936, but he is probably best known from a 1966 TV series in which he was played by Van Williams and Kato was played by Bruce Lee. No director has been named as of yet, but Neil H. Moritz is set to produce.
