Sex and the City on the Big Screen
After the long wait, the moment the fans have been waiting for has come. The rumors were right, filming on a much-talked-about movie adaptation of the TV hit is at last happening in New York.
The first photo published from the film version of the successful series showed its fashion icon lead, Sarah Jessica Parker, the on-screen sex columnist, Carrie Bradshaw, whose role in the show turned her into a successful business woman, star and entrepreneur. Sassy Sarah was also seen smooching Chris Noth, who played Mr. Big.
In the TV series, the actress's character was famous for her passion for fashion -- especially her addiction with the creations of footwear designer Manolo Blahnik. And Carrie had definitely lost none of her chic style in the film version of the popular show. Striding out in an emerald green designer aggair, cinched at the waist and accessorized with a matching stole.
Not only will Sex and the City's other leading ladies -- Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall, and Kristin Davis -- continue in their roles, but also recognizable male faces from the show will too. There will be some new characters. Dreamgirls idol Jennifer Hudson is set to play Carrie's assistant.
Sex and the City: The Movie is due out in the U.S. on May 30 next year, with the U.K. release coming shortly afterward.
