Sex and the City Star Expecting Twins Through IVF

Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband are to be parents to twin girls via a surrogate mother.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick announced this week that they are expecting twin girls through a surrogate mother, People reports.

It is unclear why the Sex and the City star, 44, and Broderick, 47, have chosen in-vitro fertilization (IVF). The couple are already parents to 7-year-old son James Broderick, who was born naturally.

According to People.com, fees for IVF can range from $25,000 to $60,000. Among Hollywood celebrities and their partners who've used a surrogate are: Dennis Quaid, 55, and wife Kimberly, 37, Angela Bassett, 50, and husband Courtney B. Vance.

Both couples have welcomed twins.

And let us not forget Nadya Suleman plus 14. Although she isn't a celebrity, she had IVF procedures done by the same doctor, where she birthed more than 13 children.
