Michelle Williams has once again reprised her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe, but for a different form of media.
The UK’s Daily Mail reported the recent Golden Globes winner graces the pages of GQ’s February issue in a sexy, Monroe-inspired spread.
While Williams isn’t necessarily un-sultry, the cover of the magazine points out just how provocative the 31-year-old can be with a subhead that read: “Who knew Michelle Williams had this body?”
"I wouldn't say that that would be one of my first qualities as a human being -- being sexy," Williams told the magazine in an interview.
"When you play sexy you're kind of playing just for men. That is something you have to police and turn it on its head," she adds. "I mean, sexuality has been a part of my work, obviously...Blue Valentine...but it's never been sexy. It hasn't been beautiful."
According to Us Weekly, the former Dawson’s Creek star also opens about her relationship with the late Heath Ledger, who she had daughter Matilda with.
"I really wanted, and I really expected or imagined, that Matilda would have siblings that were close to her age. I wanted that for her. But I couldn't make that happen," she said.
"And now that she's six that isn't even a possibility anymore. So something that was making me feel impatient, that's been removed. For whatever reason, that's not our luck, or our path."
Ledger, the Batman actor passed away in January 2008 from an accidental overdose.
"You know, as hard as certain things have been for me, it's been harder thinking about how things will be for her,” Williams continued about her daughter.
“I have a lot of things that she doesn't, and some of what I have I can give to her -- the memories that I have, the objects that I have, the physical reminders that I have, the stories."
We hope Williams can once again find true love.
