Shania Twain Splits from Husband

Twain blames husband's affair with her best friend as the reason for her failed marriage.

Shania Twain confirms her split from husband Robert "Mutt" Lange last week, according to efluxmedia.com.

The couple called it quits on their 14-year marriage as a result of Lange's affair with the Grammy Award-winning singer's best friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud, 34. Theibaud has been working in the couple's Switzerland home as a secretary. Since news of the affair broke, both Thiebaud and Lange's marriages have ended and they are currently still together.

"Their two families would vacation and spend holidays together. Shania considered Marie-Anne one of her best friends," the source added according to the New York Daily News.

According to efluxmedia.com, Lange claims the affair was "absolutely not the reason. It's literally just growing apart, that's all."

Twain and Lange, who wed in 1993 have a 6-year-old son together, Eja D'Angelo.
