Shannen Doherty Back to the Small Screen

Shannen Doherty, formerly of Beverly Hills, 90210's beloved Minnesota twins, is to come up for a multiple-episode stint when the 90210 spin-off hits the CW this fall, according to E! Online.

This is the fourth time around for Doherty on a 90210 spin-off, this time going together with Tori Spelling, Joe E. Tata, as well as Jennie Garth. There is still no word on whether Brenda Walsh, played by Doherty, will have an opposite mortal enemy once more in Garth, or in her character, Kelly Taylor.

The rumors of a casting coup that have been circulating for weeks, only on Saturday morning were the murmurs made official. As it seems, Doherty is to remain the resident drama queen, reported E! Online.

Since she left the show, the star's character has become a successful theater actress and director. She puts her time between London and New York stages and has recently been dragged back into the high school fray when her high school approached her to direct a musical for the students of her alma mater, according to E! Online.

There's soon to be more in store for the 90210 gang and it's set to come through on the CW on September 2.
