Shannen Doherty's Done with 90210

Actress Shannen Doherty is leaving 90210 for a second time, according to E! Online. The actress that became famous for her role as Brenda on Beverly Hills, 90210 finished filming four episodes for the CW's remake and will not be signing on for additional episodes, according to reports.

Doherty's character, Brenda Walsh, returned to the small screen last week during the premiere of 90210 2.0 to the delight of fans everywhere. In a recent interview, however, Doherty revealed Brenda's revival would be short-lived.

"They asked me to do more," Doherty said. She added she would not be able to commit to the series due to scheduling conflicts with another project Doherty is working on. "I'm in the middle of pitching a show, [so] I couldn't commit to more than [I did]."

Doherty's character in the original series left suddenly to London after real life catfights with costar Jennie Garth created on-set friction.

Garth also agreed to revive her character, Kelly Taylor, for the remake of the popular early '90s series. Garth and Doherty filmed the remake together and have claimed that tensions have since smoothed over.

Garth recently agreed to shoot an additional 5 episodes, bringing her total to 11.

The spin-off premiered last week to an audience of roughly 5.5 million people, becoming the CW's highest rated series in its history.
