Shaquille O'Neal Finalizes Divorce

Shaquille O’Neal has finalized his divorce from wife Shaunie after nearly eight tumultuous years together. Shaunie’s lawyer told TMZ on Thursday afternoon that she and Shaq agreed on all terms of the divorce.

This includes property, custody, and support-- leaving California courts to have jurisdiction over any problems in regard to child custody. The courts in Florida, where Shaunie and Shaq formerly lived, will tend to any future issues of property division and spousal support.

The divorce has been an ongoing process for a long time, and even included the couple getting back together. Shaunie filed for legal separation in November, moving to California with her children. TMZ also reported that Shaunie recently dismissed the separation action.

This isn’t the only time Shaq has had to deal with legal issues. Nearly two years ago, an Atlanta woman made accusations that Shaquille O’Neal stalked her and threatened her. Nothing came of it, as she withdrew the request for a restraining order.
