Shawn Johnson Feared Alleged Stalker

Olympic gymnast and Dancing With the Stars performer Shawn Johnson testified against her stalker.

Johnson, 18, told the court Thursday that she had no idea who her stalker was as he broke onto a studio lot in order to meet her when she competed on Dancing With the Stars. Her alleged stalker is Robert O’Ryan, 36, who is obsessed with Johnson and hopes to marry her.

According to Prosecutor Wendy Segall, O’Ryan’s car contained a number of dangerous items including a knife, guns and a bulletproof vest. O’Ryan plead not guilty to both felony stalking and burglary charges, using reason of insanity as his excuse.

Johnson admits she is very scared of O’Ryan. She recalls when her parents and police told her she needed a bodyguard due to O’Ryan’s presence at the show: “They didn’t want to tell me too much to scare me, but of course it did.”
