She Wolf Shakira will guest star on "Ugly Betty"

Colombian pop singer, Shakira, is ready to give acting another try.

People Magazine reported that the 32 year-old international superstar will play as herself on ABC's hit TV show, Ugly Betty.

The show's creator, Silvio Horta, explained to People why they're excited to have her on the show, "We're huge fans of Shakira. We had a very memorable moment in the third episode where Betty has a makeover that goes wrong and she struts down the street to ‘Hips Don't Lie.' We've mentioned her several times over the course of the series and have always wanted to work with her."

The last time the "Hips Don't Lie" star tried acting was in 1995, when she starred in the Colombian TV novella, El Oasis.

According to E! Online, though Shakira will be "shooting her scenes in New York, they will [appear] in the Bahamas episode-which will most likely air in November."
